About the Artist

Many decades ago, immigrants Rose and Bill Waldman opened a millinery store on Main Street in Nyack, NY. Along with the gloves, hats and handbags, Rose and Bill sold gorgeous costume jewelry, some of which they themselves designed. Years later, their granddaughter, Alison, discovered boxes and boxes of vintage Swarovski crystals that her mother had collected after her parents had died. One holiday season, Alison created necklaces for all her female family members, using some of these beautiful beads. She discovered a hidden talent and enjoys creating affordable classic semiprecious designs reminiscent of high end jewelry stores. All of her pieces are handcrafted using 14/20 gold-filled and 925 sterling silver or Argentium silver findings. Alison lives in South Orange, NJ with her husband, Michael.

The Co-Lab at South Orange is a business incubator and marketplace offering space to support entrepreneurs at all stages. It also serves as a community space, showcasing local art and hosting events that promote creativity, culture, and education.
