South Mountain Bees

Hi, I’m Adriana Compagnoni, beekeeper and founder of South Mountain Bees. Our journey began in 2012 as a family adventure to help honeybees, inspired by our home near New Jersey’s South Mountain Reservation—where our kids even designed our logo! Starting with two hives, we soon expanded from harvesting honey to creating natural skincare and bath products made with our own honey and beeswax. At South Mountain Bees, we’re committed to sustainability—avoiding pesticides, using natural ingredients, and keeping our packaging as plastic-free as possible.

The Co-Lab at South Orange is a business incubator and marketplace offering space to support entrepreneurs at all stages. It also serves as a community space, showcasing local art and hosting events that promote creativity, culture, and education.
